Some of the different master electrician jobs are master electrician team leader, associate electrician, and industrial master electrician. A mechanical maintenance worker is another type. A master electrician may also work in the construction field.

Master electrician jobs in the automotive industry may involve doing work or repairs on various models of vehicles or engines. Some of the duties of this position may also involve work on armored vehicles, such as security trucks. The worker in this field may also be involved in the logistics department. Performing engine checks to ensure wiring is properly installed and in working order may be another one of the responsibilities of this job. This worker may also have to install replacement parts and other essential peripherals.

Road safety master electrician jobs involve maintenance and repairs on outside equipment. This job may entail overseeing guidelines for railroad safety, and doing repairs on equipment generators. Repairing power systems that generate lighting for public structures may be a part of the job as well. This job may involve coordinating efforts with power plants and power supply companies.

Industrial electrician supervisor jobs also call for a master electrician. He will generally be a licensed electrician and have troubleshooting experience as well. Some individuals involved in this line of work hold an associate's degree.

Master electrician jobs in quality assurance (QA) typically involve inspection work. QA inspectors must oversee equipment and operations of electrical engineering work. This may involve the airline industry or public transportation industry as well. Duties in this field may involve writing analysis reports and conducting meetings with contractors and other electricians. Most everyone involved in this field also has excellent verbal and communication skills, as well as extensive computer knowledge.

Self-employed master electrician jobs are designed for those who want to work as independent contractors. Many of these workers have had some type of vocational training. These self-employed master electricians must be certified.

By contrast, a master electrician team leader oversees a group of workers and supervises assignments and projects. He will typically be in charge of ordering equipment parts. Many team leaders will also make the schedules for their team members. In most cases, team leaders are also responsible for training new team members. They may hold meetings and seminars to project company goals and determine if policies are being upheld.
