Kazakhstan produces 35% of the world's supply of uranium and is home to 15% of the Earth's total uranium resources. Interestingly, Kazakhstan did not have any nuclear plants of its own as of 2012, although it was in the process of developing a nuclear program. The country did have a reactor from the 1970s through the 1990s, however.
