Inflatable jumpers, or bounce houses, are used at kids parties, carnivals and other events. They are used in combination with an air blower, which provides a continuous air flow to the bounce house. They can accommodate adults and children alike and come in various styles and sizes. There are several styles of bounce houses, with the most popular including super combo sliders, palaces and castles, sports arenas, and toddler houses.

The super combo slider is one of the most popular inflatable jumpers, as it provides a bounce area, slide and climbing wall in one area. A standard combo slider measures 28 feet(8.5 meters)long, 13 feet (3.96 meters) wide and 13 feet (3.96 meters) tall. It can accommodate up to 800 pounds (363 kg).

Another popular style of inflatable jumpers are the palaces and castles. Some palaces and/or castles feature popular cartoon characters such as Dora the Explorer, Diego and the Disney Princesses. This style of bounce house offers the largest free bouncing area. They measure approximately 15 feet (4.6 meters) long, 15 feet (4.6 meters) wide and 14 feet (4.27 meters) tall. The palace can accommodate 1000 pounds (453.6 kg) of body weight.

Sports arenas offer more than just bouncing. They offer a basketball hoop and/or an area to play football and soccer. This bounce house measures 15 feet (4.6 meters) long, 15 feet (4.6 meters) wide and 13.5 feet (4.1 meters) tall. It can accommodate 1000 pounds (453.6 kg) worth of people.

Toddler houses are inflatable jumpers that are meant specifically for small children. These bounce houses prevent small kids from becoming trampled when trying to bounce. They are recommended for children under three years of age, or older if the children are lightweight. It can accommodate five or six average size toddlers, with a maximum weight of 250 pounds (113.4 kg).

Most inflatable jumpers are composed of a PVC tarpaulin material. This material is water proof and fire retardant, making it perfect for all weather conditions. PVC tarpaulin is also anti-bacterial, stain and static, and mildew resistant. It can withstand extreme high and low temperatures for a limited period of time.

When planning on using a bounce house, other than the combo slider, you will need to set aside an area that is a minimum of 18 square feet (5.5 square meters). Inflatable jumpers require three feet (0.91 meters) of safety clearance on each side. Avoid using inflatable jumpers in the rain, as they become slippery and dangerous. Bounce houses can be set up indoors, as well as outdoors. Due to the use of protective tarps, they can also be set up on pavement.
