To access free online training, you will probably need to fill out some type of registration form with personal information. This is so that the vendor can remain in contact with you for other opportunities in the future. The expectation on the provider's side is that you can be upgraded to a paying client at some point.

There really is no catch to these types of programs, and some even offer live support for questions. These courses may be to introduce users to common software that is used on the Internet. For instance, some external tutorials may attempt to sell users books or other products throughout the training course.

Companies may offer employees free online training for the job at hand. Management courses or other training that may lead to a certification may be offered. It may be necessary to contact a human resources department at an employer in order to learn about the different free training that is available to employees. Training programs may be accessible from a company's intranet site that is designed for internal purposes.
