White chocolate cheesecake is a dessert made with white chocolate in addition to typical cheesecake ingredients, such as cream cheese, sugar, butter, and eggs. This type of cheesecake is often made or topped with raspberries, nuts, whipped cream, and various syrups. The syrups frequently used on white chocolate cheesecake include caramel, brandy, and even dark chocolate flavors. Some people prefer to add extracts, such as almond extract, to this dessert to give the cheese extra flavor. People typically bake this dessert, but a person might choose a no-bake recipe or pre-made mix instead.

When a person makes a white chocolate cheesecake, he prepares a cheesecake with all of the normal ingredients, such as cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and graham crackers but adds white chocolate as well. To do so, a person usually adds melted white chocolate chips or bars before the cheesecake is cooked. This gives the cheesecake the flavor of white chocolate. One may also add various solid ingredients, such as nuts or berries, and syrups to enhance the flavor.

The fruits that are typically added to white chocolate cheesecake include cranberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Many people also enjoy this type of dessert when walnuts, pecans, and almonds are added into the cheesecake batter or sprinkled on top of the finished dessert. Syrups can make a tasty addition to any cheesecake, and caramel, brandy, and dark chocolate syrups are often used to give white chocolate cheesecakes extra flavor. Some people add the syrups to the batter, but they are frequently used as toppings as well.

There are also alternative ways to prepare white chocolate cheesecake for those who do not consume animal products. Instead of cream cheese, a dairy-free cream cheese substitute is often used. Extra-firm tofu can be used to replace eggs as well. One can also buy dairy-free white chocolate chips to replace the white chocolate in this type of cheesecake.

Many people, especially diabetics, try to avoid the high-carbohydrate content desserts such as cheesecake contain. Diabetic-friendly white chocolate cheesecake is typically made with sugar-free graham crackers, unsweetened chocolate, and a sugar substitute. Unflavored gelatin could also be used as a substitute for the eggs and reduced-fat cream cheese for full-fat cream cheese.

Traditionally, white chocolate cheesecake is prepared in an oven. There are some recipes, however, that do not require the use of an oven. No-bake versions of this dessert usually require refrigeration for a few hours before they are served.
