There are a wide range of potential career fields you can enter with a bachelor of science in social science, including social work, law enforcement, and human resources. The exact opportunities available to you may depend on your location, the school you attended, and any internship opportunities you may have taken advantage of. If you are still in school or are about to enter a four-year university, consider the career field you may wish to enter ahead of time so that you can take advantage of as many related opportunities as possible prior to graduation.

A degree in social science offers instruction on all aspects of society and cultures. With this knowledge you can do any number of jobs related to people and managing people. Additionally, since most jobs require excellent social skills, you may be able to land a position in an unrelated field once your degree is finished.

Law is one field you may choose to enter once you have completed your bachelor of science in social science. This would require additional education in an accredited law school, or you can work as a legal secretary or paralegal. Many government or environmental jobs may also be available to you once you complete your education.

One of the most well-known career paths for those with a bachelor of science in social science is that of the social worker. This is someone who works with a government or non profit organization to handle certain public affairs. You may work with local governments to place children in foster care or you may work with health organizations as well as other fields. Social work pertains to any career or job which affects the community as a whole.

This will make landing the job you desire easier.

You may find that a bachelor of science in social science is not the right degree program for your goals or that you will need additional education after obtaining your degree.
